The One Thing in Life You Can’t Regain

By A. Yanina Gomez, Ph.D.

What would you tell your younger self if you had the opportunity to do so? Perhaps you might tell yourself, life is unpredictable, we have ups and downs, successes and challenges, people come and go, be careful who you trust… The truth is, we cannot change our pasts. And, frankly, past experiences could influence who we are today.

Although we might not be able to evade our past we can, however, define our future. A future in which our past will no longer determine how it will be. A future in which, regardless of the unpleasant and unfair circumstances you’ve encountered in the past, you choose to soar, succeed and see the sky as your limit.

It’s time to embrace your present and define your future! Time is precious and it’s the one thing in life you can’t regain, no matter how much you try. Use it wisely. Dedicate time to those who truly care about you, your passions, goals and your wellness. Set your goals, begin to create a strategy, a plan and be willing to work hard to achieve your goals. Surround yourself with those who want the best for you, who will lift you up, who are willing to be truthful and have the best intention at heart. You will begin to experience a brighter and more optimistic future.

In the comments below, share ONE word that describes the future you’re building up for yourself!
