Turning the Page:Â An Art + Mindfulness Experience
Presented by Dr. Yanina Gomez, PhD – Psychologist and Author
What if the next level in your art isn’t about pushing harder—but about releasing what’s been quietly weighing you down?
Artists carry a lot: unfinished seasons, lingering self-doubt, creative pressure, comparison, exhaustion, and expectations that once served a purpose, but don’t belong in the present anymore. This experience is not about “fixing” you or forcing a breakthrough. It’s an intentional pause designed to help you process what you’ve been carrying, soften what’s complete, and reconnect with clarity, intention, and inner alignment, so you can return to your studio with a steadier mind and a more honest creative signal.
In this intimate Art + Mindfulness experience, Dr. Yanina Gomez guides you through a blend of mindfulness, reflective journaling, and intentional art-making on a single canvas board. You’ll begin by exploring what this season has revealed—patterns, emotions, habits, or narratives that may be ready to transform—then you’ll translate those insights into visual layers. With care and intention, you’ll paint over what’s complete, not erasing the past, but honoring it and making space for what’s ready to emerge in your art and your life.
Materials note: We will provide a small canvas board for each artist. Please bring your paint supplies of choice, along with your brushes, and any tools you love working with.
This is about presence, honesty, and meaningful transformation.
Dr. Yanina will guide participants to…
- Identify what you’ve been carrying into your studio that no longer supports your creativity
- Use mindfulness and journaling to name patterns, emotions, habits, or narratives ready to shift
- Translate your insights into layered marks using your preferred medium
- Practice “painting over” as a tool for integration—honoring what was while choosing what’s next
- Reconnect with clarity, calm, and self-trust so your art-making feels grounded again
By the end of the experience, you’ll leave with a finished layered piece that represents your transition, what you’re releasing, and what you’re stepping into. Plus, a simple, repeatable process you can return to anytime your creativity feels heavy, stuck, or scattered.

From Self-Doubt to Trusting Again:Â Rewiring the Inner Narrative That Shapes Your Art & Life
Presented by Dr. Yanina Gomez, PhD – Psychologist and Author
What if the voice that’s been second-guessing you… Isn’t telling the truth?
Self-doubt rarely shows up as one loud thought. It’s usually a steady drip of “mind traps” that quietly distort what you see, what you believe, and what you choose. In this insightful, practical workshop, Dr. Yanina Gomez demystifies the negative thinking patterns that erode confidence, creativity, and decision-making—especially for artists and creators navigating visibility, criticism, and uncertainty. You’ll learn to spot the patterns in real time and interrupt them with simple, effective “reality checks,” so you can move forward with clarity, resilience, and momentum.
Dr. Yanina will guide participants to…
-
Identify the most common “mind traps” (like catastrophizing and all-or-nothing thinking) that sabotage confidence
-
Recognize how these patterns impact creativity, decision-making, and emotional energy
-
Learn fast “thought checks” to challenge distorted thinking in the moment
-
Replace harsh, unhelpful narratives with realistic, optimistic alternatives
-
Build an actionable toolkit to create more clarity, resilience, and forward motion
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a clear understanding of why negative thoughts feel so convincing (and exactly how to reframe them) along with a practical set of strategies you can use immediately (before a post, a studio session, a conversation, or a big decision). Most importantly, you’ll walk away with more self-trust, emotional steadiness, and momentum to create and lead from a grounded place.
