I’ve been where you are—dreaming of art while my garage studio gathered dust.
After seven years in marketing, I switched to college/university level teaching for the summers-off promise, only to be buried in meetings and lesson plans.
One night, I asked myself, “Is this really it?” That question led me to craft an Exit Strategy and finally wake up to true freedom—brushes in hand, no day job in sight.
But quitting was just the beginning. Building a sustainable art career meant mastering income streams, collector relationships, and the art world’s rhythms.
